Introduction

First officially launched in May 2009, CanDo.hk is a specialized website through which career support services are provided to visually impaired persons by the Career Support and Development Centre of The Hong Kong Society for the Blind. For many years, the Centre has been providing various vocational support and training services to the visually impaired, so as to help them develop their potentials and contribute to society.

Objectives of the website

As the first website of its kind that connects visually impaired persons to the open job market, we hope to appeal to information technology as a medium of communication, whereby employers and the public can fully appreciate and experience for themselves the abilities of the visually impaired, thereby broadening the latter's career opportunities. At the same time, visually impaired persons can make good use of this online platform to search for suitable jobs in accordance with their own skills and experiences, letting no potentials go undiscovered. We welcome all employers to browse for candidates on our website, and all visually impaired persons to offer themselves for vacancies on this site, too.
